If Kellhus is to do anything about his brethren other than let them be, he'd wipe them out. There's no way he'll convince them of his divinity and if found, they will prove to be a liability. Even if the Consult wouldn't/couldn't ally themselves with the Dûnyain, they most likely could break a lesser Dûnyain and thus demystify Kellhus, which would prove rather dangerous to him. Anyway, it should be noted that not only were Kellhus's haloes seen before learning sorcery, they were seen by Sërwe before Kellhus even joined the Holy War. view post

There already is "Super-Sorcery", and Kellhus has obtained it. Remember that the Third Phrase is a legend even to the lately long-lived newly immortal Nonmen. Basically, we can deduce that a person who can use the Third Phrase emerges - on average - once per n millennia. I'd be hard-pressed to believe that someone else can top that. His children, while guaranteed to become significant, likely won't surpass their father, who was a prodigy even among the Dûnyain. Now if we could only know where Shauriatis stands on the scale... view post

>> Breaking a Dunyain I see that as nearly impossible Look how close Aurang came to tempting Kellhus, then pick a lesser Dûnyain and give years of time to break him. With any lesser being I would agree with you, but I see the Inchoroi could break one. >> and demystifying Kellhus will not help either because I didn't mean demystifying as in demystifying Kellhus for the world, I meant demystifying Kellhus for the senior members of the Consult. One of the two reasons why Aurang had no direct action taken towards Kellhus was because the Dûnyain are new to them, a mystery. view post

[quote:27jkq41w]Distant figures filed between the battlements before disappearing behind stone—the elder Dûnyain abandoning their vigil. They would wind down the mighty staircases, Kellhus knew, and one by one enter the darkness of the Thousand Thousand Halls, the great Labyrinth that wheeled through the depths beneath Ishuäl. There they would die, as had been decided. All those his father had polluted.[/quote:27jkq41w] Mith, yes he does. I don't remember the page numbers, but when Kellhus starts to speak back to Möenghus he says "the God speaks to me" (or something quite close) and later when they discuss the No-God he says "Yes, he speaks to me as well". view post
