Absolutly. Achamian drew the line on his map based on what he knew at the time, which was simply that a skin-spy was in the midst of the Nunsur Empire (and the world). After two thousand years of ridicule, a Mandati would be eager to connect the Consult to anywhere. After reading TWP it's safe to assume Akka could connect the Consult to almost every faction in The Three Seas. Spies are everywhere. As to the Empire/Kianene "agreement": Although we know very little about the details of this relationship, it's existence is undeniable. With secret meetings in TDTCB to the curious events surrounding the fall of Hinnereth in TWP, they are definately plotting together. It may seem one-sided at the moment, however; there are sure to be surprises and deceptions to come. Both sides of this "agreement" are likely to have there own interests in mind. view post

The thought of Zin and Akka sharing the same bloodline would be a great twist. Regaurdless, there is a special bond these two share, especially now. We don't get much history on Zin, so it might be possible that his kinship to Akka goes beyond the bond they shared in tutoring Proyas, but can be attributed to the fact that Zin is one of the Few. I don't believe Akka has adequate knowledge of the Psukhe to teach Zin the sightless blasphemy. The favor of teaching the Gnosis to Kellhus will be returned by his father Moenghus in teaching all three of them the secrets of the Psukhe. Upon learning the metaphysics of both sorcerous styles, these sorcerers of rank will stumble upon new, all powerful, songs of blasphemy. This will equip them for the final battle with the Consult and the No-god. I'd be interested to see what predictions the rest of you have. [/i] view post

Will Esmi Cause Mandati/Warrior-Prophet Drama? posted 28 Jun 2005, 19:06 in The Thousandfold ThoughtWill Esmi Cause Mandati/Warrior-Prophet Drama? by Hackhius, Commoner

What bearing will jealousy, loyalty, and devotion have on the relationship between Akka and Kellhus? Both men have claimed Esmi as their wife. Will Esmi..." 1>stay with Kellhus? 2>go back to Akka? 3>stay clear of both men to avoid any animosity? view post

The best allies are formed through common foes. I think the Holy War as we know it will be but a forethought in TTT. Shimeh will be disasterous...for both sides. The remnants of both heathen and Inrithi will march north for the final showdown on the Plains of Mengedda. Can't wait... view post

@saintjon, anor, and Erthaelion: Was not the "swazond" on Cnaiur's neck, a swazond for his first true love, Serwe. Though he didn't kill her himself which is the standard for a new swazond, the one's who did kill her are not of the People. So, this swazond was the only way for him recognize all that Serwe would never do. A "swazond of love". view post

Has anyone considered that the whole reason Moenghus summoned Kellhus in the first place was to bridge the gap between the Dunyain and the ways of the few. Now that Moe is a ranking Cisharum, and Kellhus is on the cusp of learning the secrets of the Gnosis, the Dunyain could be very well armed if these two spread this knowledge throught their people. Furthermore, we have yet to see what one of the conditioned can do with sorcery. We see what they can accomplish on the plain of world-born men (i.e. mind-manipulation, easily thwarting assasination attempts, etc.). When given the knowledge of sorcery, they could very well become the most powerful faction in all the Three Seas. view post
