I took look forward to learning more about the Nonmen, and on the subject of a PoN RPG, I would love to do something like that. My character would defenetly be a Cishaurim. view post
When I was reading your book I was really into the idea of the Cishaurim. Despite the fact that we never actually got to see them, I was routing for them the entire course of the series. I was wondering if there will be anything about the Cishaurim in future books, if they managed to survive the attack on Shimeh in some form and are planning someway to assassinate Kellhus and regain Shimeh or something like that. view post
I kind of have a love-hate relationship with Bakker. I appreciate the philosophy, even if I don't agree with it. I am disgusted by the level of violence and I will probubly never forgive him for having Kellhus sleep with Esmenet. I do love the world he created, even if it is violent, dirty and filled with power-hungry, greedy jerks and the idiots who follow them. view post
Does anyone know who Neil Gaiman's tailor is?[/quote:2t8v0z2y] Just dress in black. That's all you really need to do. view post
Ah, that's a shame.
8. Harrass Harrol. New medical studies shows that this greatly reduces your life expectancy.quote] Is that because Harrol is doing 2? view post
Okay, first everybody raise your hand if you wished you came up with this? (raises hand) view post
I was going to say Batman, but again Batman has all the insecurities of parental abandonment and the whole dress up as a bat and beat up criminals thing, so Kellhus could work with that pretty easily.
I was also thinking Gandalf could square of against Kellhus pretty easily. I think I read somewhere that he's like an angel or something, so that could make him immune to Kellhus' Dunyain manipulation.
Scary thought, what would Kellhus do with the Ring? Would he be ammune to it's evilness or would he go for it and become Supreme Lord of Middle-Earth.

Keep in mind that being gay is just about the greatest crime a Sclyvendi could commit, and since Cnauir wants to be the Greatest Sclyvendi of them all this would be the last thing he wants to let on. Is he gay though? Again, I don't think it really matters. He's probubly so screwed up even he dosn't know. view post
[quote="coobek Phhhaahh but He would not need a ring. The question is how quickly would he know the words of Valaquenta? The conditioning would begin within 1 second of him touching the ground. Sauron and 'the darkness which comes before him' would be known in no-time. He would posses the Nazgul with all their weakness. No-one would be spared, no-one save Tom Bombadil of course. Another interesting dillema is who is unverse greatest swordsman Kelhus or Master Yoda?
I don't know about Yoda vrs Kellhus, but I have to disagree with you on the Nazgul. I don't think they have souls, so they can be classified as the same thing as Skinspys, just alot more powerful and advanced. view post
I've recently discovered a website for a Magazine that does Pulp adventure style stories. You know Doc Savage and The Shadow and Indiana Jones and stuff like that. The idea of doing something in this kind of setting interested me. I've never read anything like Pulps, but I have seen all the Indiana Jones movies. Here's the site. I don't know how to link, so this will have to do. http://www.thrillingtales.net/sub.html view post
The Prince of Nothing is never going to be made into a movie. It is to violent, dark and intellegent for Hollywood and to expensive for anyone else. Also, on Balrog's casting. [i:n5evim25]Brad Pitt as Kellhus[/i:n5evim25]? Come on, Brad Pitt's a great actor but I just don't see him as Kellhus. Christian Bale could maybe do Kellhus, but I just don't see Brad Pitt as Kellhus. Also, I don't see Christain Bale as Cnauir. I'm not familiar with Monica Bellucci, but I have doubts about her being a good Esmi. Again with Jessica Alba, I just don't see her as playing Serwe. view post
Actually, they arn't looking for any Science Fiction. view post
Xinemus - Oliver Reed (yes I know he's dead - but still...)[/quote:27lwq05i] Since we're casting dead people in the roles of Prince of Nothing movies, then I'd suggest Orson Welles as Kellhus. If he can't be Kellhus, then he has to be someone else. Maybe Proyas or Cnauir. I just love Orsen Welles. view post
Oh well, if I'm wrong, I'm wrong. In that case what black actor do you think should play him?[/quote:1fyn8h35] I'd say Morgan Freeman. And I always pictured Achamian as sort of Greek. view post
Well, admittedly I don't know that many black actors in Achamian's age area. view post
On the plus side, that means we could get an unknown actor and not some celebrety, thus allowing ourselves to fully emerse ourselves in the movie without the actor getting in the way. Although we would have this if Orsen Welles is cast as Kellhus, I defend this as Orson Welles is the only actor I can see who could possibly play Kellhus. Shame he's dead. view post
Well, I think it's partially because Cnauir is one of the most prominent characters. view post
Yeah, but what would Kellhus want with the world. He only got control of the Holy War in the first place so he could get to Moenghus. If he didn't then he'd just, I don't know, meditate or something. I don't think Kellhus would just go take over the world because it's there, it dosn't seem like a Dunyain thing to do. view post
Yeah, I that looks like a good Akka. On the subject of Achamian, for some reason I thought Jeff Bridges. I don't know why exactly, the only movie I ran place him in is "The Big Lebowski" and The Dude isn't a very Achamian character. view post
Okay, this is probubly going to make me look like a complete idiot but what's lolcats? view post
Okay, since that's settled I was thinking that an alien invasion might be able to take care of Kellhus, like if they were really weird non-humanoid aliens from War of the Worlds or something. I was also thinking maybe the Kzinti from Larry Niven's Known Space or Species 8472 from Star Trek: Voyager. Any other suggestions? view post
