I've only just started my re-read so I can't remember where in the book this bit is...
Maithenet is about to leave Sumna and join the Holy War. We are shown the procession through the eyes of two street children, one of whom is taken by the slave traders. Does this piece have any bearing on the story as a whole or is it just a one off? Bakker seems to like to tie everything together but I can't work out where and how this bit fits in...
Cheers!
