oh cheer up
lifes not permament, taking things too seriously gets you into all sorts of icky prediciments... yeah as best it would be to go with the flow of things.

Jokes aside, and now that we are on a more sombre note as well, this particular passage of the story speaks annals into the due processes of ethics and human behaviour - or rather the expense of it - eroding inherrent behavoiural 'pre-programming' for the sake something seemingly more gratifing or satisfying.

I think in the contemporary society we live in these days it's a good point and is well raised by the author in its alacrity. view post

Gnosis vs. Anagogis, and sorcery in general posted 02 February 2008 in Author Q & AGnosis vs. Anagogis, and sorcery in general by skinspysexbot, Commoner

looking at the school of gnostics, isnt it the liberation of encumbent reality that allows a sorcerer access (through interlect and languege) to the power of god?

Can the Gnosis be compared to gnostic thought? view post

I do not agree with Bush's international policy but I do see some merits to it. Back to my original point I see no evidence of Bush being a God fearing christian but rather a shrewed politian playing off of the convictions and beliefs of others.[/quote:1fvfga5x]

How do you feel about the current candidates in regards to foreign policy?

McCain for me seems to want to entrench US forces in the middle east for the long term to consolidate political leverage and crude oil.

Whereas Obama wants more foreays into Africa for "peacekeeping" but with globalization as it is and us brits holding major stakes in the african continent things may well change.

Looks like both are hawks out to enforce the status quo

And Hillary Clinton wants to alienate Iran, using US military might as the deterrent. Might as well draw the whole world in if that happens, China, Russia etc will not sit by idly is another Iraq happens - too much at stake

Is the US a reckless superpower blundering its way through the world or a cold calculating entity capitulating every move - Che Guevara

I dont think it was the shortest path. Does the US really want its soldiers drawn into another punitive engagament like Vietnam? view post

Do the powers in control suck at their jobs? posted 11 February 2008 in Philosophy DiscussionDo the powers in control suck at their jobs? by skinspysexbot, Commoner

"And you were sent by the Son, who was sent that you might receive Light, and remove yourselves from the forgetfulness of the authorities, and that it might not again come to appearance because of you, namely, the unclean rubbing that is from the fearful fire that came from their fleshly part. Tread upon their malicious intent."

She was able to bear fruit alone? I guess women really can do anything! Do you care to extrapolate further mandati? As I always thought the gnostics believed the demiurge responsible for our inherrent flaws view post
