Hello Everyone I know I'm rather late with this entry (!), and I do apologize if this information has been posted previously. My name is Martin Gould, and I was the designer and art director for the covers of the original editions of Scott's first 3 books. I'm posting now because I'm not sure that clear credit has been given in these pages to the artist who did the lettering and illumination for Scott's original covers. The same artist also did the lettering that graces the opening page to this web-site, and all the lettering and illumination on Scott's site as well. His name is David Rankine, and I'm sure the members of this forum would enjoy his art, which is on display at www.davidrankineart.com. For those who live in Ontario, Canada, you might be interested to know that Dave also regularly conducts public workshops and lectures on the subjects of art, calligraphy, illumination, and Celtic decoration. I know him best from his art workshops every summer at the Celtic Festival in Goderich, Ontario (www.celticfestival.ca), but his activities extend well beyond that. So -- I invite you to check out Dave's site. It's great stuff. cheers, Martin view post
