I'm also new to the site. hi. And have waited until I finished the first book to post here. But also as fan of Erikson and Martin I had a completely different experience, I found the book very easy to get into partly because the first section concentrated on Akka which was fairly easy to follow. I finished tDTCB last night and it was very good, I still cant understand why it captivated me so much but I found it very difficult to put down. I'm now very much looking forward to tWP. view post

After reading TDTCB I also got the impression the Sranc were werewolf-esque, I think it was the feral like descriptions that lead me to this. view post

The names add a great depth to the novel and makes it more epic-fantasy like. But there should of been 'Cnaiur (Nay-ur)' like things for all names in the glossary as opposed to just a few. I have taken to prouncing 'c' as 'k' in the novel as in Tolkien's world btw. view post
