Questions about Iyokus posted 13 February 2006 in The Thousandfold ThoughtQuestions about Iyokus by RaiTei, Candidate

Hello all, just finished TFT for the Second time. The whole Iyokus deal really confused me. Everything from him becoming the Grandmaster of SS to him summoning the Ciphrang. Someone please clear my mind, thanks! view post

Questions about Iyokus posted 13 February 2006 in The Thousandfold ThoughtQuestions about Iyokus by RaiTei, Candidate

Well I obviously got as much, but where did Iyokus get all that power??? If he was so strong, then how could he be beaten by Achamian in the courtyard when Xin wanted his eyes? view post

The Heron Spear posted 13 February 2006 in The Thousandfold ThoughtThe Heron Spear by RaiTei, Candidate

Theories about it here: In TWP we find out that the Inchiori came from another world through space travel or something of the sort. The No-God is impossibly powerful, and his remains of a sort are in Golgoterrath. The question is, What is the Heron Spear Exactly? How can it be strong enough to kill some being so powerful? Is it not an artifact of Golgoterrath? view post

Dunyain and Technology posted 14 February 2006 in The Thousandfold ThoughtDunyain and Technology by RaiTei, Candidate

Well Said Entropic, and I completley Agree. The Dunyain's Desire was to follow the Logos and transcend any remnants of humanity in essence. As Entropic said, shedding animal traits. That's why they distilled their fears and desires and bred for intelligence and reflexes because if you think logically, to evolve you must already be at the peak of what you already have no? Or have some other cause or focus to evolve. Transcending that which is now is the main goal, and technology is of no use to them in this situation, but they were technologically advanced to a point, Ex in TDTCB the probing and freezing of faces. view post

I re-read most of Iyokus related passages again and it's clear, i'm not sure what I was confused about now amusingly enough. I agree completley, a Ciphrang requried time, and Akka had little strength. anyone wish to elaborate on the Daimos? view post

Ah, good insight nevertheless. It was one of the Tekne Light WEapons. HOpefully more such weapons exist ^.^ view post

The Heron Spear posted 14 February 2006 in The Thousandfold ThoughtThe Heron Spear by RaiTei, Candidate

From my copy of TFT: Heron Spear - A powerful artifact of the Inchoroi Tekne, so named because of it's unique Shape. The Heron Spear first appears in the Isuphiryas as Suorgil (ihrimsu, "shining Death"), the great "Spear of Light" taken by Cu'jara Cinmoi from the corpse of Sil, the Inchoroi King at the battle of Pir Pahal. FOr millennia the Heron Spear lay in the possession of the Nonmen of Ishoriol until it was stolen by Cet'ingira(Meketering) and delivered to Golgotterath. It was stolen again by Seswatha 1390 years later in 2140 who believed it to be the only weapon capable of destroying the NO-God. For a brief time it twas thought destroyed at the catastrophic Battle of Eleneot Fields, but it reappeared in 2154 in the Possession of Anaxophus V, High King of Kyraneas who used it to slay the NO-God at the Battle of Mengedda. For centuries it resided in Cenei, a treasured possession of the ASpect Emperors, only to be lost again when the Scylvendi sacked Cenei in 3351. It's whereaboiuts are presently unknown.

Hopefully I'm not to be punished for copying that from the glossary but thought it would spark discussion! view post

The Dream that went wrong posted 14 February 2006 in The Thousandfold ThoughtThe Dream that went wrong by RaiTei, Candidate

Either way, if our new Aspect Emperor wants to have a fighting chance of killing the No-God, he's going to need a boatload of new tricks, such as the Heron Spear. Glossary said last dissapeared after Scylvendi came to it's resting place. So.. perhaps post PON Cnuair's involvement w/ spear could cause another confrontation? We've most definitely not seen the last of our many scarred friend. Mad even though he is. (Kissing a spider's face *shudders* "True Mouth" *Retches*) view post

Moenghus the Harbinger posted 14 February 2006 in The Thousandfold ThoughtMoenghus the Harbinger by RaiTei, Candidate

The Harbringer was part of the Prophecy. We don't even know if the prophecy truly is working or if there's another twist coming till post PON. view post
