It sounds more like we hear about them then get a PoV. Scott? view post

Releases posted 19 May 2005 in Author Q & AReleases by Sovin Nai, Site Administrator

I have compiled an Excel file of all the releases of Scott's books I could find online. This may answer questions people have more easily than discussion. However, I am also pretty sure it is not comprehensive, so I am looking for input. Any reputable sources you can find please post and I will update the file. Shortly I hope to have it up in an online form. I am particularly looking for foreign language editions. view post

Some issues about chronology... posted 23 May 2005 in Author Q & ASome issues about chronology... by Sovin Nai, Site Administrator

You could probably sell all those disgusting bits in one volume. <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D --> view post

Schools posted 25 May 2005 in The Thousandfold ThoughtSchools by Sovin Nai, Site Administrator

The only comment I would have is that the Mandate has the council (including Nautzera), and though I don't remember details, it seemed a bit too large a governmental entity for ~25 sorcerors.

Also, their building seems to large to house that few. view post

Like father like son? posted 25 May 2005 in The Thousandfold ThoughtLike father like son? by Sovin Nai, Site Administrator

Just to throw this out there, as I am not all that great at theorizing either, but is there a possiblity Maithanet could be a Nonman, or some derivative thereof? view post

The agenda of the skin spies and the Consult posted 25 May 2005 in The Thousandfold ThoughtThe agenda of the skin spies and the Consult by Sovin Nai, Site Administrator

I think WL's comment is excellent, about the Consult using the Psukhe. This offers many explanations. view post

Serwe/Esmenet as Mary Magdalen? posted 27 May 2005 in The Thousandfold ThoughtSerwe/Esmenet as Mary Magdalen? by Sovin Nai, Site Administrator

I doubt that Scott was aiming for any parallel. I would agree that they do seem to fill that role if applied to the story, but I doubt its intentionality. view post

Serious TTT thoughts, predictions, ideas... posted 27 May 2005 in The Thousandfold ThoughtSerious TTT thoughts, predictions, ideas... by Sovin Nai, Site Administrator

Grallon- Aspect-Emperor is the name Scott has put forth for a second trilogy or dualogy. PoN should conclude in TTT, but may not, in fact will not, reach the Second Apocalypse. Scott has said he plans on working on something else in the interim. view post

Posting Permissions posted 27 May 2005 in General AnnouncementsPosting Permissions by Sovin Nai, Site Administrator

The forums have now been altered so that guests may no longer post. We have a large enough body of members for good discussion, and our belief is that if someone wants to comment, they should make themselves accountable.

If anyone takes issue with this, feel free to comment in the Help/Suggestions Forum. view post

What we look like posted 27 May 2005 in Off-Topic DiscussionWhat we look like by Sovin Nai, Site Administrator

I thought it would be fun to start a thread to post pics of what we look like. I am curious about whay faces go with these names. So here's mine. view post

And now for something totally idiotic - BK v McDonalds posted 27 May 2005 in Off-Topic DiscussionAnd now for something totally idiotic - BK v McDonalds by Sovin Nai, Site Administrator

I would go with McDonald's, though I avoid fast food and haven't eaten there in something like a year, which I consider success! view post

Site Updates posted 14 June 2005 in General AnnouncementsSite Updates by Sovin Nai, Site Administrator

Some updates have been made to the site. There may be errors as users begin to use them, please report all such instances in the Help/Soggestions Forum.

The additions are:

The ability to show a flag with the user profile. Check your profile page to add one.

A welcome message on the Index.

The ability to make a null vote on a poll, which will allow the user to see the results without clicking the view results link each time. This is an irreversible vote, treated as if a selection had been made.

Thank You, and I hope you like them. view post

The first one has been launched at [url:37vi50zb]http&#58;//www&#46;cafepress&#46;com/threeseas[/url:37vi50zb], but we are open, in fact would like, to design more. What would you guys like to see and wear? Currently we are working on a PoN/Forum shirt, with the circumfix or tusk on it (and yes we got permissions). view post

Shirt Discussion posted 22 June 2005 in Off-Topic DiscussionShirt Discussion by Sovin Nai, Site Administrator

That is funny! I probably would do if there was interest. I talked to Scott and we are workingon getting a signature for the shirt.

Also, I had the idea of using Da Krul's cookie on the shirt with the bit about creamy logos. What do you guys think? view post

Shirt Discussion posted 30 June 2005 in Off-Topic DiscussionShirt Discussion by Sovin Nai, Site Administrator

Reaction?

I think it makes about as much sense as the "all i got was this shirt" suggestion (which i like also). actually, people who study greek would find it funny in a different way also. Logos means speech or thought or rational argument (roughly). So I am going to do it. view post

Need help with holes!!! posted 01 July 2005 in Off-Topic DiscussionNeed help with holes!!! by Sovin Nai, Site Administrator

Don't do the toungue, too much dental damage even with dental friendly piercings. I'd probably go with Industrial. You don't want too many lobe piercings. view post

The Destruction of the Dunyain posted 05 July 2005 in The Thousandfold ThoughtThe Destruction of the Dunyain by Sovin Nai, Site Administrator

While I agree that the Dunyain are in trouble if found, I think everyone seems to underestimate them. We have no idea what they may be capable of in large groups, and they may have abilities such as group probability trances which yield more potent results.

It would be almost impossible to eradicate them, to my mind, it would become an unwinnable guerrilla war. view post

The Inchoroi and the Sranc posted 11 July 2005 in Author Q &amp; AThe Inchoroi and the Sranc by Sovin Nai, Site Administrator

I can say that Scott's site will have the appendices online, and we hope to dramatically expand the world section of Three Seas in the next couple of months. This will hopefully include appendices and an atlas. view post

Site Failure posted 10 October 2005 in General AnnouncementsSite Failure by Sovin Nai, Site Administrator

I am sorry about both the site going down and also for the slow response time.

It appears that one of the style tables for the forum was modified without permission in such a way that a scripting failure occured. As a result, although the site now functions, we have lost our theme. I am working on recovering it, and meanwhile apologize for its hodgepodge appearance.

Any comments or feedback you have can be left in the Help/Suggestions forum. view post
