It does appear that they try to remove certain elements of the world in order to better become a self moving soul. To them so what if they lie in order to achieve their gaol the less variables the better. view post

Dunyain Intellectual Bankruptcy posted 29 September 2006 in The Thousandfold ThoughtDunyain Intellectual Bankruptcy by Harrol, Moderator

That leads to the next question. To the Dunyain what is truth. Is the truth freeing your soul? If that is the case then all other lies are justified by the ends. I do not state that to imply that the Dunyain need to justify anything. To them they need only take the shortest path. view post

I believe that Scott gives us some hope through Akka. Akka fufilling a Seswatha like role gives me hope. Too I believe that many more people will become awakened due to Kellhus's work there. view post

Actually there are only two old names Aurang and Auxang. Forgive my spelling I do not have the books with me. The term old name is made in refence to the last of the Inchoroi. view post

I can not answer all your questions but my thought is that Seswatha's dream changed in order to warn Akka rather than deceive. Akka went through to dramatic experiences with Seswatha. One being the time he was captive to the Scarlet Spire and the other when Kellhus hypnotized him in order to talk to Seswatha. I believe both these experiences opened up a more direct link between Akka and Seswatha. view post

What happens to them. posted 02 October 2006 in Off-Topic DiscussionWhat happens to them. by Harrol, Moderator

Has anyone else noticed that the Mods disappear quickly not to be seen of again. My example is Entropic Existance. A very active boarder with lots of cool info then with some encouragement from me and some others he accepts the role of Mod. Now he is gone and no one has seen him for awhile. This leads me to ask what is happening to them? My thought is the spammers hunt them down and kill them. If that is what happened then I am very sorry for what has happened to EE. view post

I agree that these are ways to express yourself i.e drugs, sex, drinking, shooting and blowing something up. I will also state that there are times when drinking becomes drunk or even buzzed when it is no longer harmless. Three years of doing shore patrol in the bar district showed me that first hand. Alhana is right to say that the children that do these things need someone to listen to them and be there for them which should be their parents or guardian. As far as I can see there is no program or initiative that will effectively take the place of parents. view post

What happens to them. posted 03 October 2006 in Off-Topic DiscussionWhat happens to them. by Harrol, Moderator

Well I did something needlessly dangerous last week. In the gym that I work out at there is a marine who also works out there. He saw me running on the tread mill and said something to the effect that he did not know sailors could run. To which I replied to him " do you know what the difference between a marine and a sand bag is?" He said "no". Then I said "sand bags are cheaper and can catch more bullets." A second after I said that I thought boy I could have died just then or at least been in a fight with an angry marine. That was both stupid and suicidal. view post

I agree automatic weapons are for cowards or people who just do not have a lot of time. I was picked on a lot in school but it was due to the fact that I mouthed off a lot and went to about 15 different schools. I still never wanted to shoot everyone. That may have had to do with the fact that my step-mom stayed at home and my dad was around quite a bit. I had no time to plot killing people and I had the holy living fear of God toward my dad. He was not mean but go ahead and do something he told you not to do and you would deeply regret it. So I never had some of the problems that others have had. This molester guy in PA he was very ill and I do not know that good parents or much else outside of institutionalization could have help him. view post

I believe that there are only a few viable canidates which I hope won't win but probably will. I believe it will be John McCain for the Republicans and Hillary Clinton for the Democrats. Unless Al Gore or Barak Obama runs then Hillary is a shoe in. view post
