So what your saying is if i do drugs I can become one of the greatest artists of all time? One other question is did Da Vinci do drugs at all? He was very creative. view post

The problem of evil posted 04 August 2006 in Philosophy DiscussionThe problem of evil by Harrol, Moderator

Randall,

I agree that such people exist indeed. I know they do because my dad guarded such people for 20 years and sometimes would tell us about them. Basically they were sociopaths that only cared to pleasure themselves and find their own comforts. view post

O.K. I hate saying this but what I meant was God does not make sudden rash decisions that go against everything he ever said. view post

Sorry for over reacting. Next time I will tone down my response with a full scale invasion of Iago and Gierra instead of a forum response. Gierra, Iago and Barney the Dinosaur are now the axis of evil. view post

Primal that is a good point. I believe from what I see those fights must be allowed to meet their conclusion. If not they seem to just smolder and later on reignite. I believe that the day will come when America leaves Iraq and Afghanistan and whent he U.N. leaves the former Yugoslav area that the fights there will flame back up worse than ever. view post

First, since when do Yanks care for international community..?

Well Sokar that is very wrong and jerkish of you and a horrible way to make a point. But maybe being rude and obnoxious is just the way people were you are from are! I do not like to slander Sokar but you need to get off your little self righteous pulpit and understand every country tries to munipulate events to their advantage. view post

War in Lebanon posted 11 August 2006 in Philosophy DiscussionWar in Lebanon by Harrol, Moderator

Sokar,

This last post of yours was a littlie more detailed and therefore it did not just look like a rant. Your first post on this subject looked like an obnoxious rant. In reply no your understanding of politics is not obvious by your first or even second post on this topic. By the way since you have the courage to insult America as a country why don't you have the courage to tell us where you are from? In stead of being cryptic and just letting us know you are not from England. view post

wow just finished reading it last night posted 11 August 2006 in The Thousandfold Thoughtwow just finished reading it last night by Harrol, Moderator

It is my (wishful) presumption that the new version of the dreams are only seen by Akka. It is my thought that Kellhus would be able to infer its' meaning if the other Mandati were having them and that would ruin the surprise.

That's what I meant by that statement. If my assumption proves correct, Akka is Seswatha's last true disciple/student.

I believe that you are correct in this. i believe it will add a whole new twist to AE. view post

Akka the Anarchist posted 11 August 2006 in The Thousandfold ThoughtAkka the Anarchist by Harrol, Moderator

Kellhus will keep Esmi due to her loyalty. She believes that Kellhus is the the hope of the worls. Akka and Kellhus will most likely be reunited just after the start of the Second Apocalypse. I bet Kellhus will convince the humans that they are fighting a holy war in order to harness their fanatasisms. view post

I believe those children will be used by Kellhus to achieve the shortest path. He will need intelligent people to help lead the humans against the consult. I believe the destruction of the consult is one of Kellhus's big objectives in order to achieve the ultimate goal of becoming a self-moving soul. view post

Nerdanel,

Wow what an observation. i am going to have to go back and really look at that. I hope that White Lord, Mith or Entropic also look at this to see what their input is. view post

Akka the Anarchist posted 17 August 2006 in The Thousandfold ThoughtAkka the Anarchist by Harrol, Moderator

Sedulo I agree. He will have voluntary help, but I suspect that he will crush most of the consult. Another wacky therory I have is that He will turn the nonmen erratics. If the erratics turn against the consult then things would be interesting. view post

Akka the Anarchist posted 17 August 2006 in The Thousandfold ThoughtAkka the Anarchist by Harrol, Moderator

No kellhus and Akka will be brought back together by the rise of the consult and of the No-God. I believe it will mirror Seswatha and Celemonis's (sp) relationship. Yet I sense Scott will throw something in there to break the cycle so that the Second Apocalypse will not be a carbon copy of the first. Why do I think Kellhus can turn the Erratics? Well first Seswatha was freed from the wall even though a nonman had him prisoner. I do not belive that Seswatha won his freedom by force but rather he gained his freedom by suppling the Nonman with something he needed. In other words memories. i believe that Kellhus can build off of this. The erratics do not serve by desire but by need. If that need is removed then I am sure the consult would have hell to pay from the Erratics. I know goofy theory and hard to support but i believe Scott has dropped enough clues that it is possible. view post

Neuropath posted 19 August 2006 in Off-Topic DiscussionNeuropath by Harrol, Moderator

That is possible but highly unlikely. That he discovered cursing singularity. I never realized how much Scott cussed in his books. I guess I filter out cussing naturally after being in the military for several years. No one curses like sailors who are bored or drunk or just about any other time. view post

No-God and the Topoi of Caraskand posted 19 August 2006 in The Warrior ProphetNo-God and the Topoi of Caraskand by Harrol, Moderator

I have some times thought the same thing but then again there are points that make the No God look sinister. The example of Kussalt. There is another istance that took place in TTT that I will not mention here that also makes me think that Mog Pharu is indeed malicious. I will go to that forum to post it there. view post

The No-God posted 19 August 2006 in The Thousandfold ThoughtThe No-God by Harrol, Moderator

This post is for this topic and also for a topic in the WP section. The No-God must have some awareness and conscience. I base this off of TTT page 250 where Kellhus and Aurang are talking and Kellhus tells him that Mog is dissappointed by his failure at Mengedda and that he is coming for him. This infers some sort of awareness and even to me a level of malevolence. view post

The No-God posted 20 August 2006 in The Thousandfold ThoughtThe No-God by Harrol, Moderator

True enough he may not be completely aware of himself but he is a destroyer and a ravager. The question to me is are these inate side effects of his being or are they intentionally done by him? If the answer is that he intentionally destroies and brings death then I say he is malevolent whether he completely understands himself or not. view post

Will Esmi Cause Mandati/Warrior-Prophet Drama? posted 21 August 2006 in The Thousandfold ThoughtWill Esmi Cause Mandati/Warrior-Prophet Drama? by Harrol, Moderator

Truthfully I do not see what Esmi needs to be redeemed from. She has done the best she can with what she has. Do not get me wrong I feel horrible that Akka has so far gotten the raw deal but ibelieve that will only make him strong enough to be a serious threat to the consult. Back to Esmi she is carrying Kellhus's child. That child will be very important in 20 years but to reach its potential the child will need Kelhus as a mentor not Akka. This is a fact that i believe Esmi is most aware of. view post

who should determine what is "right"? posted 23 August 2006 in Philosophy Discussionwho should determine what is "right"? by Harrol, Moderator

Actually, right is the opposite of left. Which is why communists are so evil.

That makes perfectly good sense. This debate seems to use alot of circular reasoning. Especially if you accept the belief that there are no absolutes. Even though the statement that there are no absolutes is an absolute in and of itself. view post
