I've been reading a couple of books here and there and I'd like to make my list of Savage Fantasy books. The Prince of Nothing Trilogy; Still haven't read the third one but I'm on the case. K J Parker's Scavenger Trilogy; Awesome quirky writing style with exellent technical knowledge. Solid Characters. K J Parker's Engineer Trilogy; As above but with a little more class and style. Michael Moorcock's Elric and Von Bek Trilogies; Exellent reads with weird descriptions and wonderful pacing. Do you guys have any recommendations to add to the list? Stuff that will really grab me by the throat and drag me down into it's dark depths. So far my interest has been piqued by the following authors; [b:i8qinrb6]Guy Gavriel Kay Gene Wolfe[/b:i8qinrb6] view post
What I went out and bought from the various Waterstones in London (including the gigantic Piccadilly shop);
The Thousandfold Thought (Signed as well, wierd when was Scott in England?)
Dune - Frank Herbert (I never got round to reading it, sorry guys)
The Book of the New Sun - Gene Wolfe
The First Book of Lankhmar - Fritz Lieber
The Eternal Champion - Michael Moorcock
Heroes Die - Matthew Woodring Stover (Was found hidden away in the bottom of Forbidden Planet. )
Anyway I got some serious reading to do and world forgetting to be done.

A picture of a Scranc would be pretty awesome. I thought Non-men looked like Chaos Warriors. All armour and pretty much no flesh showing. view post
Cnair, his resolve is inspiring. I love his character, from when you first meet him to his final chapters in TTT. His arrogance is blunt and unrefined, his hate a roiling maelstrom of unceasing pain and misery. You feel sorry for him like one of the suffering champions from mythical stories. A tragic (Anti-)hero who just doesn't give in. I love him. view post
Oh god, I can't choose. As I don't truly hate any of them. Wait. Yes, I do. Kellus. I hate him. The rest are wonderful. view post
