Quote: "Lucky Sevens":k2dyco2b
The Thousandfold Thought is not what has been said. It is the particular path that the people of the world must follow (involving a rewriting of their beliefs and values) in order to survive the Second Apocalypse and prevent the fruition of the Consult's plans. [/url].[/quote:k2dyco2b]

imo,
Your mistaking the result of the Thousandfold thought for the definition of the Thousandfold thought. view post

I do like the criticism, I indeed may be wrong in my opinion. But again that's why I even post them, to read others opinions and be able to open my mind to different objectives. So I thank you LS, for offering your opinion on the Thousandfold Thought but it seems a rather small part of what it actually is. Like I stated in my prior reply I believe you have confused the result of using the TTFT to achieve an end with what the definition is. I do believe though you have it right when you stated that it was achieved trough the probability trance albeit Kellhus seems to tap into it rather quickly. view post

Any up coming Novels with entirety Of THe Apocalypse? posted 10 December 2007 in Author Q &amp; AAny up coming Novels with entirety Of THe Apocalypse? by Cohen, Peralogue

I definitely think that Bakker has set up for that, but when he gets through this series I have a feeling that it might be redundant. If facts such as The Ark of the Skies ie. it's origins and what the hell it actually is. I mean Bakker seems to be bringing our world into his which disappoints me slightly, there are allot of suspect things in the first three novels.
The Heron Spear sounds eerily familiar(GUN?)
The Ark of the Skies, well it's obviously a space craft of some sorts.

The allure for me to keep reading these books is to get some answers on the history of Earwa, I am hoping we get the back story in the next series he's currently writing, if I don't get the whole story in the next series I will surely be disappointed, if not jaded. view post

Meme: cultural characteristic passed down generations
any characteristics of a culture, e.g. its language, that can be transmitted from one generation to the next in a way analogous to the transmission of genetic information.

No, that's not pretentious at all <!-- s:roll: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_rolleyes.gif" alt=":roll:" title="Rolling Eyes" /><!-- s:roll: -->

Thanks for the insight though, it at least made me research into it a little more and rethink my view on the topic.

But as you can see i am also slowly losing my mind ,so who knows if that is actually a compliment. I can't even decide what flavor cat food i like best...

I think it's Fancy Feast, but the no-name brand has that special tang I can't resist.

Sorry, I've been living in a hotel for 2-months now waiting for a house to be built and I am totally bored and a little stir crazy.

Forgive me.

P.S.

What if Kellhus was one of us? posted 02 April 2008 in General DiscusssionWhat if Kellhus was one of us? by Cohen, Peralogue

Aren't we all frogetting something here?

Why would he even venture away from the Dunyain monestery? what would his mission be?

Without a plausible mission we can not even guess as to what he could accomplish in these times. Of course he could do anything and we could argue what levels of control he would have on our society.

Do we need to be saved? why would the Dunyain even want to save us? Would they care?

I't not as if the Dunyain are all sitting around watching T.V wating for some mission. view post
