What area of writing are you good at? posted 31 October 2004 in Writing TipsWhat area of writing are you good at? by sunshine, Commoner

(hi! I'm new, please don't bite!)

The area I'd like to think I'm good at is character creation, but when it comes down to it people tend to comment on my dialogue. view post

Is it good?

I read the original, unedited version sometime over a year ago and thought it had a lot of promise. My new copy hasn't arrived yet so I'm still waiting and wondering. view post

*g*

Hopefully I'll have my copy by then. Of course, it'll go to the end of my reading pile, too... view post

Your top 5 fantasy series... posted 06 November 2004 in Off-Topic DiscussionYour top 5 fantasy series... by sunshine, Commoner

Erikson's Malazan Series
GRRM's ASOIAF
Bakker's Prince of Nothing
Williams' Memory, Sorrow and Thorn
The number five spot will be filled with all the series I think are just okay-ish. :)

It's taken me a long time to find books that I would consider favourites. Luckily, fantasy has been improving in recent years. view post
