I really love the Potter books. They are just fun to read. I even bought Harry Potter and the Philosophers stone four days ago so I can read it again I borrowed them from my brothers girlfriend when I first read them, but they broke up so I can't borrow them again, so now I'll have to buy the books so I can read them over and over again.

Well my first contact with fantasy was a Swedish authour called Astrid Lindgren she wrote childrens books but I guess they could be called fantasy. I hadn't heard about fantasy as a genre when I read those. A few years later I read Narnia and after that Tolkien after that I found the fantasy section on the local library and I was hooked.

My thougts about this might be somewhat confusing (They are confusing for me anyway )
I think a god (or some kind of force) exist, this god/force created the universe and created other gods or showed itself for different people in different shapes therefore different belifes exist.
I don't think it matters what you belive, you exist for a reason and you will understand the reason after your death.
All religions are correct but slightly wrong. And there is an afterlife.
Sorry for my unstructured thoughts.

From the posts, I've read on this site. I imagine people here to be, well read, and often have a high education level and being generally intelligent. However, I might be very wrong. This is who I am: [list:17xn61gu]I'm almost never serious. I can be evil. I like reading fantasy. I am a bit mad. I can be immature. I can be stupid. I'm Swedish. I am really bad at grammar. And I’ve got a lot of other flaws.[/list:u:17xn61gu] So how would you describe yourself? [i:17xn61gu]This is a post brought to you by the combination of tiredness and boredom[/i:17xn61gu] view post

What do you think of this idea? I posted a few questions on another webpage and would like your opinions on them. Please answer/discuss them here or there. [quote:6i2u6ds9]Set up as an eco dome, that way it should be self sufficient with its own water recycle filtered through the plants. [/quote:6i2u6ds9] That is actually my main idea. [quote:6i2u6ds9]Powerwise I'd like it to be Solar although could also combine it with hydropower would pretty much sort it out. [/quote:6i2u6ds9] I think solar would be best I'm not very fond of hydropower because of the environmenal effecs. [quote:6i2u6ds9]Building wise probably somewhere where thiers space available, as long as light penetrates then it would be possible to have it as an underwater city with the plants providing the oxygen. [/quote:6i2u6ds9] I don't think natural light would be an option because of the solar power that would have to be on the roof, and I don't think glass would be ideal for a roof, because of the green house effect that would create. [quote:6i2u6ds9]Positive effects would be that it would be expanding into unused land[/quote:6i2u6ds9] Yes it could be in a desert or in the middle of the atlantic but the main thing I think is buildin several levels. [quote:6i2u6ds9]negative wise difficult to get people to and from.[/quote:6i2u6ds9] Yes I don't have any good ideas for this yet not if it's going yo be totally sealed from the outside world. Somi kind of gates would be necessary but it would take time for people that might work outside the dome. view post

The darkest day of the year is here and the goddess will again give birth to the god. I found this in a book and wanted to share it today: "I sorrow not, though the world is wrapped in sleep. I sorrow not, though the icy winds blast. I sorrow not, though the snow falls hard and deep. I sorrow not; this too shall soon be past" Happy Yule everyone Have you created a Yule tree or lighted the Yule log yet? And I hope everyone have sacrificed a pig to Frej. For your plesure I'll end this post with: [b:qgz2yldx]The Wiccan Reed[/b:qgz2yldx] Bide the Wiccan Laws we must In Perfect Love and Perfect Trust. Live and let live, Fairly take and fairly give. Cast the Circle thrice about To keep the evil spirits out. To bind the spell every time Let the spell be spake in rhyme. Soft of eye and light of touch, Speak little, listen much. Deosil go by the waxing moon, Chanting out the Witches' Rune. Widdershins go by the waning moon, Chanting out the baneful rune. When the Lady's moon is new, Kiss the hand to her, times two. When the moon rides at her peak, Then your heart's desire seek. Heed the North wind's mighty gale, Lock the door and drop the sail. When the wind comes from the South, Love will kiss thee on the mouth. When the wind blows from the West, Departed souls will have no rest. When the wind blows from the East, Expect the new and set the feast. Nine woods in the cauldron go, Burn them fast and burn them slow. Elder be the Lady's tree, Burn it not or cursed you'll be. When the Wheel begins to turn, Let the Beltane fires burn. When the Wheel has turned to Yule, Light the log and the Horned One rules. Heed ye Flower, Bush and Tree, By the Lady, blessed be. Where the rippling waters go, Cast a stone and truth you'll know. When ye have a true need, Hearken not to others' greed. With a fool no season spend, Lest ye be counted as his friend. Merry meet and merry part, Bright the cheeks and warm the heart. Mind the Threefold Law you should, Three times bad and three times good. When misfortune is enow, Wear the blue star on thy brow. True in Love ever be, Lest thy lover's false to thee. Eight words the Wiccan Rede fulfill: An ye harm none, do what ye will Some Yule links: [url:qgz2yldx]http://www.wicca.com/celtic/akasha/yule.htm[/url:qgz2yldx] [url:qgz2yldx]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yule[/url:qgz2yldx] view post

I loved the book. I think it's one of the best new fantasy books I've seen in a very long time. The style was quite different than I'm used to but I liked it a lot, these kind of books don't usually hold my attention for very long, but I could hardly stop when I began. I hope that she'll write more. view post
I liked American Gods, but from all I had heard about it, I expected it to be better. It's a good book, just a bit hyped. view post
