100+ pages (I'm basing this off of the ARC edition I received months ago) and it isn't [i:3epv2q4j]extensive[/i:3epv2q4j] enough? Well, as to the alphabet, who knows, although I suspect that wasn't topping the list of things Scott wanted to include in the appendices and as for a site thing, well...you'd either have to ask Scott or the webmasters here, Wil and Sovin. view post
I thought the appendices were everything they were promised to be, which was a referece for all of the names that pop up as well as historical information. As far as I know, from what Scott has mentioned before, is that he never created an alphabet. The one that appears on the covers was done by the artist who makes the covers and I'm unsure if it was actually worked out as to what links up with what as far as actual phonetics, etc goes. But yea you would need to ask Scott about that one to know for sure. view post

I'm slightly curious. What did you expect the appendinces to be? We got 100+ pages of descriptions, historical contexts, and meanings. And you're disappointed? view post

[quote="Erekassos Knerceannis":3kmv6dzh]:o No way the appendices are still great, I've been reading them for the past hour I was just expecting more detailed maps, diagrams, etc. rather than a concise encyclopedia. Don't get me wrong, its still a beautiful thing,

Ah, I see what you mean.
Come to think of it, I wouldn't mind detailed maps and diagrams, too.

I wouldn't either, but I'm not holding my breath. Scott is a busy guy after all. I am hoping the alphabet makes it up onto the website eventually though.

I was very pleased with the appendices, I have to say. It was pretty much what I was hoping for. view post
