im a very musically inclined person so just out of curiosity: What is your favorite music to listen to? Whether it be a band or a single musician? view post
I'll listen to pretty much anything, so long as it has some kind of spark, but my tastes run to the heavier end of the spectrum. My fav band of all time is Sabbath. The Melvins come in a close second (at the moment). Some of my other favs include CoC, Monster Magnet, and Tool - which I listen to obsessively whenever I write philosophy. BTW, 'Orion' has gotta be one of my top ten instrumental favs. MoP rules! view post
Tool...
OK, now you're frightening me, Scott, listening to "Prison Sex" and so forth when writing philosophy
But no Zeppelin?

I don't just listen...

Yeah, I have to agree with Larry there I would think that I would be listening to jazz or something of the sort while writing philosophy...(not that I do

Orion just has a better "ring" to it. view post

Personally, I listen to a lot of older rock. I keep it tuned to 93.3 The Bone here in Dallas most of the time. They play Zepellin, some older Metallica, Sabbath, AC/DC, Hendrix, some hair band ballads, ZZ Top, and other similar. My CD player has anything from the LotR soundtracks, to the Punisher soundtrack, and Aerosmith's Greatest Hits albums in it. I also really like Evanescense's music. I did pick up a really cool CD I thought fit perfectly with the world of Earwa. Feast of Silence by Vas. It's a combination of Middle Eastern, Indian, and Bulgarian drum rhythmics with a Persian singer. Very interesting and thoroughly enjoyable. view post
I [i:3a2nyw3m]worship[/i:3a2nyw3m], not simply listen to, Blind Guardian!!!
I love Heavy Metal!!!
I like Virgin Steele, Domine, Manowar, Manilla Road and other dozens of bands!!!
HM RULES!!!
