TTT paperback? posted 14 Jun 2006, 23:06 by Shattered, Commoner

I've been checking with retailers about the possible paperback release of TTT and so far haven't been able to find out if one is even planned. I get the feeling that it's not since Warrior Prophet had a paperback listing when the hardcover first came out. I own the oversized paperback editions of DCB and WP and would like to get TTT in the same format to make a nice collection (stupid, I know...). The Prince of Nothing website lists these forums as the best way to contact the author - I'm hoping for some clarification on this issue so I know whether I have to settle for the hardcover. Any information is greatly appreciated. view post

Best best is probably toward Christmas time - the US tradeback of TWP didn't come out until October or so and it was released in January 2005 in the US, so probably October-November 2006 for the TTT tradeback. As for the regular-sized paperback, no rights have been sold on that, so you'd have to order from Canada or the UK for those, again likely months from now. view post

Hah. This is what I hate about serials. I have TDtCB in reg paperback, WP in trade paperback (the large format) and TTT in hardback. That looks "nice" (i.e. retarded) on my bookshelf. :( view post

Still, the writing is good quality throughout, so it doesn't bother me too much. view post

It's just the way it goes. You're lookin fer summink to read, you pick up the paperback. Burn through that - yum, that were good, now, volume two eh, oh look it's just come out in monster paperback, oh well, must read.... 8 months later - faaaaaaaaaark, there's nuffin to reeeead, oh look, those lucky folk in the selfish northern hemisphere have got TTT, I'll just go see if I can find a release date.... 2months later later I get my hands on an imported foreign edition hardback.... view post

It wasn't that difficult. :) I would check the following sites.. http://www.alibris.com http://www.abebooks.com Both have LOTS of resources and usually find a retail seller that have copies of each. I even found a copy of Midnight Tides by Erikson in HC on abebooks.. and that thing is bloody hard to find. ;D Cheers! view post
