These are basically the same reasons why I like Bakker.

I like the introspective view the books take; showing, in great detail, the "why" behind the action. I also like that, unlike a certain yearded author I know, Bakker gives us many complex shades of grey. Most of all I like that Bakker had the balls to make Kellus an un-sympathetic, and to some degree un-likable, character. We don't have to like our hero to want him to prevail. view post
