Thousand Fold Though Revisited posted 25 April 2006 in The Thousandfold ThoughtThousand Fold Though Revisited by zarathustra, Peralogue

Yes I'm still confused with it myself. I tend to see the Thousandfold Thought as very similar to Leto Atriedes 'Golden Path' in the dune novels the only coarse of action that will allow the survival of humanity. It's clear from the book though that Kellhus and Moenghus had very different opinions on what the Thousandfold Thought was which kind of makes it hard for us to grasp.
Whether it is something more abstract and mystical than a glorified project plan I think will remain to be seen in later books. I certainly thought that was the case after reading the Warrior Prophet where it seemed to come to Kellhus as a revelation (divinly inspired?) rather than something that could be obtained from merely being in the probability trance. So perhaps thats why Kellhus and Moenghus have differing versions of it. view post
