Why read fantasy? posted 01 April 2006 in Literature DiscussionWhy read fantasy? by glaz, Peralogue

relatively new as a hardcore fantasy reader. WoT was the first i read and loved the first couple of books. that got me hooked.

as to why read fantasy, i have to say that it's the world-building that got me in. also, it's trying to picture yourself into their world, thinking of what you'll be in the situations they're in.

i have to admit though, before being a fantasy fan, i was kinda turned off by the covers in fantasy books. that's why i appreciate the Penguin covers of teh Priunce of Nothing. simple, yet interesting. view post
