I enjoyed the Scar as well, but believe that Perdido Street Station had the better plot.

Has anyone here read Nick Sagan's IDLEWILD? It came out earlier this year. It caught my eye with the cool cover and the blurb by Neil Gaiman. Excellent Speculative Fiction book, with a great and likeable Anti-Protagonist who goes by the moniker of Halloween. It expands on the idea of Virtual Reality and Human Evolution via Genetic Engineering . It's comparable to TDTCB with it's philosophic undertones. I bought it in Hardcover after reading it in one sitting approximately four hours at Barnes and Nobles.
